HOLY Mt. KAILASH - MANSAROVAR YATRA By Helicopter

Important:
- You are requested to book this tour earliest or minimum 60 days in advance which will help us to make necessary arrangement on time.
- Booking of this tour/yatra will be strictly on first come first serve basis.
- Helicopter operation is subject to weather conditions only. No refund possible in such situation.
- You may have to stay Nepal/Tibet, more than the scheduled itinerary, due to bad weather or any other unavoidable situations. In such case, the cost of extra stay will be borne by you.

Cancellation Policy:
30 days before departure date, INR 10,000 will be charged as cancellation.
15 days before departure date, INR 25,000 will be charged as cancellation.
07 days before departure date, No refund allowed.

Recommended clothing and equipment list for the trip:

You Must Carry:
jacket (down) / polar fleece, with rain and water proofed, thermal underwear, wind / rain-proof trousers, woollen and sun hats, scarves (muffler), woollen or cotton socks, gloves, trekking boots, sun/snow glassed, towel, t-shirt/s, sunscreen/sun lotion, flash light with extra bulbs and batteries, sandals, water bottles, day pack (for your day time necessities), kit or duffel bag (to keep your personal belongings) first aid box /personal medicine walking stick.

Please do not carry unnecessary items and / or valuables.
Be sure you have the needy items !
Warm clothes, water bottle, water purification tabs, sun tan lotion utility knife, dusk musk, medicine for headaches, fever, colds, stomach disorders and diamox (unless you are allergic to sulpha drugs) for altitude sickness, It is also good to carry dry fruit, juice powder, breads, candy, canned or packed food, nuts, pickles and biscuits.
* if you do not have any of the above items, our executive will assist you in Kathmandu.

Good Health:
Even though participants do not need to submit any health certificate but those with a history of medical problems, particularly cardiac or respiratory, should consult a doctor before deciding to undertake the trip. It is rigorous and challenging trip where all the time spent at high altitudes. At least 2 months regular practice is recommend either 2 hours daily running, swimming, or joining on a health club may help to complete the yatra very successfully.

HOLY Mt. KAILASH - MANSAROVAR YATRA By Helicopter
Duration: 8 Nights / 9 Days

Day 01 ARRIVE NEPALGANJ
Arr: Nepalganj By Air
Assistance at the airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02 NEPALGANJ - SIMIKOT (2950 mtrs)
Morning fly to Simikot. First high altitude experience and stay one night in Simikot. Overnight stay in Guest House.

Day 03 SIMIKOT - HILSA - SHER - PURANG (3750 mtrs)
From Simikot, connect your chartered helicopter and fly to Hilsa. Arrive Hilsa and our Sherpa staff will assist you to climb uphill (45 minutes walk) to the Tibetan Border city - Sher. Here you will meet our Tibetan guide, Landcruiser with drivers. Drive to Purang/Taklakot. Overnight stay in Guest House.

Day 04 PURANG/TAKLAKOT - MANSAROVAR (4560 mtrs) (90 kms / 4-5 hrs. drive)
Morning drive to Mansarovar and you will have first view of Holy Mt. Kailash and Mansarovar.
Overnight stay at Guest House/Camp.

Day 05 MANSAROVAR PARIKRAMA - DARCHEN (4620 mtrs)
Morning free time for Holy dip in Mansarovar Lake and Puja etc. Later we will start Mansarovar Parikrama (115 kms / 4-5 hrs) by Landcruiser. During Mansarovar Parikrama you may ask your drive to stop for photography etc. and also stop if you wish to take a holy dip again. After completing Mansarovar Parikrama continue drive to Darchen. In the evening you need to prepare for Kailash Parikrama.
Overnight stay at Guest House.

Day 06 DARCHEN - TARBOCHE (13 kms drive) - DIRAPUK (4860 mtrs) (7 kms / 5-6 hrs. easy trek)
Morning drive to Tarboche (approx 13 kms drive by jeep). Tarboche is the starting point of Kailash Parikrama. Tarboche is also known as the outer "ASTHAPATH". Tarboche to Dirapuk is a easy walk with few ups and downs till we reach our camping sight. You will have enough time to walk slowly. Camping on a nice grassy meadows with closest view of Kailash - north west face. Overnight stay in Camp/Guest House.

Day 07 DIRAPUK - DOLMA LA - ZUTHULPUK (4760 mtrs) (18 kms / 9-10 hrs)
Today's trek will take you to the highest pass of this journey. This day is most difficult day of your yatra. Steep climbing upto Dolma La Pass (5,680 mtrs) - the highest altitude of your parikrama. Stay here for a while for prayer etc. and relex. Continue walking and start descending slowly towards and camp in Zuthulpuk. While walking down you will see Gauri Kund (Tibetan Name - Tu-je Chenpo Dzingbu) "The Pool of Great Compassion". You will arrive Zuthulpuk Camping sight after about 9-10 hrs trek. Overnight stay in Camp/Guest House.

Day 08 ZUTHULPUK - DARCHEN (10 kms / 4-5 hrs) - MANSAROVAR
Morning free time to explore the caves, temples and shrine - built around Milarepa's caves. An elderly married couple supervises the temple, which is an active residence for over half a dozen Tibetan devotees, helpers or relatives who continuously busy themselves in maintaining the buildings.
Reach Darchen where our landcruiser will be waiting for us. Drive to Holy Lake Mansarovar. Overnight stay at Guest House.

Day 09 MANSAROVAR - SHER - HILSA - SIMIKOT - NEPALGANJ
Morning drive to Sher and walk down hill to Hilsa. Connect your chartered helicopter and fly to Simikot. Later connect flight for Nepalganj.
